Personal Injury
Personal injury cases arise when one person suffers harm from an accident or injury and someone else might be legally responsible for that harm. A personal injury case typically is settled by agreement between the parties without any lawsuit being filed. If the parties cannot agree, the personal injury case is resolved through civil court proceedings that could include a jury trial.
Wrongful Death
If an individual is killed as the result of another’s negligence, a wrongful death claim can be pursued. The wrongful death claim is pursued by the “survivors” of the deceased as that term is defined by statute. “Survivors” generally means close relatives.
Auto & Motorcycle Accidents
Individuals injured as a result of an automobile or motorcycle accident are entitled to pursue a personal injury claim against any responsible parties. There are a number of unique insurance issues arising out of an auto or motorcycle accident that need to be thoroughly explored.
Slip & Fall Accidents
If an individual is injured on the premises of another party, that person may be entitled to pursue a personal injury claim. Florida law spells out what must be proven to establish the liability or responsibility of the property owner for those injuries.
Product Liability
Product liability refers to persons injured as a result of a defective product. If a person is injured through the use of a defective product any individuals or companies involved in the manufacture, distribution or sale of that product can be legally responsible for the injuries. Generally speaking, a product is considered defective if it causes injury through its normal or expected use.
